🌅 Early Morning Adventure at Diamond Beach
We woke up at 5:30 AM to prepare for our early morning walk to Diamond Beach, just a short distance from our accommodation. We decided to skip breakfast and eat later since it was still early. Locals told us to go as early as possible because Diamond Beach is one of the most popular spots in Nusa Penida. Around 6 AM, we started walking, and the peaceful morning vibe made the journey even more refreshing.

We asked for directions from a local sweeping the area, and they told us to go straight—passing by a few playful monkeys along the way. After paying the entrance fee (IDR 25,000 per pax), we reached the cliffside stairs that lead down to Diamond Beach. The staircase is quite steep—starting as concrete, then turning into stone and finally wooden steps—but the breathtaking view from the top already made the trip worth it.
Diamond Beach is a hidden gem on the eastern side of Nusa Penida, known for its powdery white sand, turquoise waters, and dramatic limestone cliffs shaped like sparkling diamonds. As we reached the shore, there were only a few other people—perfect for enjoying the place without the crowd. We took lots of photos and videos, and of course, I included my newly published book in my travel shots. (You can avail my published poetry book here: https://a.co/d/fKthdIt)
We stayed for over two hours, just relaxing, chatting, and soaking in the view. As more tourists arrived and the sun grew hotter, we decided to head back. Hungry from the climb, we grabbed some fresh coconut juice from a nearby restaurant before walking back to our accommodation for breakfast.

🚤 Ferry Ride Back to Bali
After packing up, we arranged a DIY transfer to the port through a friend of our driver from the previous day. He was such a lively storyteller that the ride didn’t feel long at all. By 11:30 AM, we reached the port, bought ferry tickets, and took the 12 NN trip back to Bali. Once we arrived, our driver from Day 1 picked us up, and since it was still early, we asked him to tour us around a few more spots.
☕ Coffee Tasting at Pemulan Bali Coffee Plantation
Our first stop was Pemulan Bali Coffee Plantation, a lush hillside farm where we learned about traditional coffee-making, including the famous kopi luwak. We sampled different coffees and herbal teas—my favorite was the Rosella Tea. It was both educational and delicious, making it a must-visit spot for coffee and tea lovers.
💍 Silver Crafting at Artika’s Art Shop
Next, we visited Artika’s Art Shop, a workshop where skilled Balinese artisans create intricate silver jewelry. We watched how they melt, mold, and shape the pieces by hand, blending traditional techniques with modern designs. The craftsmanship was truly impressive, and it gave me a deeper appreciation for Balinese artistry.
🎨 Art Appreciation at Feliz’Eye Gallery
We also dropped by Feliz’Eye Art Painting Gallery, a chic gallery in Seminyak showcasing original works from over 50 local and international artists. The place was full of vibrant colors and unique pieces, making it a great stop for art lovers and collectors.
🛍 Souvenir Hunt at Windhu Sari Art Market
Our last stop before dinner was Windhu Sari Art Market, a spacious and organized souvenir shop. It had a wide variety of Balinese crafts, textiles, carvings, and paintings—all at fixed prices. While it’s a bit pricier than local markets, it’s very convenient for shopping in a clean, air‑conditioned space.
🌊 Dinner by the Sea at Beach Bali Café
By evening, we headed to Beach Bali Café, a cozy beachfront restaurant famous for its fresh seafood and romantic sunset setting. We enjoyed a lovely dinner by the shore while watching cultural dance performances and listening to live music. It was such a perfect way to end the day.

🎁 Last-Minute Shopping at Krisna Oleh-Oleh
Before going back to our accommodation, we stopped at Krisna Oleh-Oleh, Bali’s biggest souvenir center. It had everything—snacks, coffee, batik, handicrafts, and chocolates—all at fixed prices. It was the perfect one-stop shop for pasalubong.
⛰ Sunrise Hike at Mt. Batur
The next day, we woke up early again for the Mt. Batur sunrise hike—an unforgettable experience that deserves its own blog post (Read it here: https://mjtravels.blog/mt-batur-indonesia/). The ride was tiring but the view of the sunrise from the top was absolutely worth it.

📸 Picture-Perfect Bali Swing
After the hike, we visited the famous Bali Swing, where I rented a flowing red dress for my photos (rental is included in the payment – IDR 650,000). The line was long per swing, but it was such a unique and thrilling experience that I just had to try it.

🏞 Lunch with a View at Cretya Ubud
We then had lunch at Cretya Ubud, a stunning day club overlooking the Tegallalang rice terraces. With its tiered infinity pools and scenic views, it felt like the perfect place to relax after a tiring hike.

🌅 Golden Hour Dinner at Jimbaran
In the evening, we went to Jimbaran Beach for an early dinner by the shore. It was peaceful, and we even witnessed a private wedding taking place nearby. Watching the sunset while enjoying delicious food made it even more memorable.

💆 Ending the Day at Bodyworks Spa
To cap off the day, we treated ourselves to a massage at Bodyworks Spa in Seminyak—one of Bali’s most iconic spas. Its Moroccan-inspired interiors and serene atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind. The service was amazing, and the massage was just what we needed after so many adventures.
