Eden Nature Park & Resort – Davao

September 30, 2024

Location: Brgy. Eden, Toril, Davao City

Date:       November 26, 2023

As part of my trip to Davao, I knew an adventure was a must, so I headed to the famous Eden Nature Park & Resort, a breathtaking mountain retreat in the city. This expansive park covers over 80 hectares, offering visitors a perfect blend of nature and excitement.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the sheer beauty and vastness of the place. It felt like a peaceful escape, surrounded by lush greenery and wide-open spaces. The entrance fee is Php 400.00, which includes a plated snack—definitely a great deal for everything the park has to offer. You can check the link below for detailed rates, including prices for the various rides and activities:

Given the size of the park, a shuttle service is available for guests, with separate routes for the adventure rides and the nature area. I decided to explore the nature side first. The park boasts beautifully landscaped gardens, tranquil forest trails, and a rich variety of plants and wildlife. The cool mountain air and panoramic views of Davao City and the Davao Gulf made the experience even more refreshing and serene.

After exploring the nature area, I headed to the rides section, eager to try out some of the park’s famous attractions. I opted for the combo of Skyrider and Skycycle, which cost Php 400.00. Although I really wanted to try the Skyswing as well, time wasn’t on my side. I had other plans, and the line for the Skyswing was quite long, so maybe next time.

The Skyrider is a thrilling zip line experience, where you glide along 200-meter steel cables suspended about 20 meters high between two towers. The ride offers stunning aerial views of Davao City and the Davao Gulf. As I soared through the air, I was completely mesmerized by the view from the top—it was so exhilarating that I wished I could go again.

Next up was the Skycycle, an adventure that takes things to another level of excitement. You pedal your way across a 60-foot-high cable spanning 200 meters, creating an unforgettable adrenaline rush. I was initially terrified, especially since I don’t really know how to ride a bike. However, the guide assured me that balancing wasn’t necessary—just pedal, and I’d move forward. Even as I started, I was still nervous, especially since I felt like I was going so slow. The person on the parallel cable was speeding through, while I was only halfway! But I eventually made it to the end and back. It was an amazing experience, not just because of the thrilling ride but also because I overcame my fear of biking—and at such a height! Plus, the view from up there was absolutely stunning.

Overall, my experience at Eden Nature Park & Resort was incredible. It’s a perfect destination for families, combining the serenity of nature with exciting adventure rides. Whether you want to immerse yourself in nature or feel the thrill of heights, this park offers a great balance. You truly get to appreciate the beauty of Davao, making it a must-visit for any tourist.
